Februari 2004 Makula got his first assignment for his own production company: the new 'GBÆ® Radio tune'. A great hit, that followed with a extended version called 'KulaShaker' a fairly big hit that gave him the assignment to remix; Kamasutra, by Paola & Chiara. 'Samba De Nmwambé' was his next single. Irina sang the vocals for this huge hit. His Debut album MIXKULA was born | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Makula's first cd released in 2004. Also the name of Makula's production company founded in the same year. This CD was the beginning of MIXKULA as a brand. No other remix-cd had greater sales in the past. With the original hits 'Samba De Nmwambé', 'Mauw Mauw' and 'Ritmo Della Kula' Makula made his reputation as a great DJ. The public realised Makula was not only a great remixer, but a producer of innovative new material

reMIXKULA called for a new era in MIXKULA history. Released in the summer of 2006, this album does not focus on the remix in general, but on the remake. In a strive for perfection, all of MIXKULA's early succeses were re-made and the classic MIXKULA cover style was re-adopted. Songs as 'Kulashaker', 'KulaJawa', 'Samba De Nmwambé', 'Hondjes' and many others are featured as remakes. The album also features a variety of new, original songs.
Makula claims this innovative new album is the true tribute to his succes. reMIXKULA spawned so many hits that GBÆ® Radio symbolicly declared this album multi-diamond |

MAKULATA | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Those who thought Makula had reached the peak of his abilities were undoubtedly proven wrong with the 2007 release of MAKULATA, an album with NO remixes and 100% original songs. The title Makulata (maculata means panther prin in Italian) symbolises the diversity of the album and re-location of the MIXKULA studios to Italy. The long wait for all the fans was made worthy when the album came out more than a year after reMIXKULA. Lady Bruin had the honor to be the first single on the album with 'Lady, Lady, Lady'. A song that broke records on both sales and airplay. This Album turned out to be just as succesfull as reMIXKULA but remember, it's only just been released... |
